A good way to identify refurbished bearings

time:2024-07-04 09:25:08hit:17

1. Generally, refurbished bearings have low bearing precision, rough bearing surface, uneven chamfer size, and some even have black skin and pitting due to the limited technology and equipment of small bearing manufacturers.

2. Some inferior bearings are made of ordinary steel, carbon steel, malleable cast iron, and iron pipes, etc., and the appearance color of these materials is mostly white, and the color of special bearing steel is green. But just looking at the color cannot completely determine that hardness needs to be tested. Ordinary steel has low hardness.

3. Some small manufacturers have simple heat treatment technology, and the bearings are heated unevenly, which may cause slight deformation.

4. Turn the bearing to see whether the bearing rotates evenly and whether the sound is continuous without noise.

5. Look at the cage. The bearing cage of regular manufacturers is regular and burr-free, and the rivet heads of riveted bearing cages are of the same size. The processing technology and equipment of irregular manufacturers are simple, so the cage is rough, and some riveted structure cages are unevenly divided or offset, and the rivet heads are of different sizes or riveted offset.

6. Look at the packaging. The packaging of regular manufacturers is consistent and the fonts on the packaging are clear. Some counterfeit bearings are inconsistently packaged or are simple and irregular.

7. Look at the fonts on the end face of the bearing. The original bearings are very clear and uniform in both steel and laser fonts. The laser fonts have a certain depth. The fonts of counterfeit bearings have broken marks. The laser fonts are gone after being gently wiped with gauze, while the regular laser fonts will leave blurred font marks after being wiped with gauze.

8. Look at the certificate of conformity. Regular manufacturers' bearings have certificates of conformity and the size of the certificates is consistent. Most certificates are made of oil-proof paper. The fonts are clear. Some manufacturers have query information on the certificates of conformity. Counterfeit certificates of conformity have blurred fonts, ordinary paper, and certificates of conformity vary in size. It is recommended to keep the certificates of conformity of regular manufacturers for comparison and reference.

9. Some imported bearings are different from domestic ones in terms of anti-rust oil. Imported bearings are not without anti-rust agents, but there is no trace of the bearing surface. Some counterfeit imported bearings are coated with domestic anti-rust agents. They feel sticky in the hand and smell of anti-rust oil.

10. Understand and know the typing specifications of some regular manufacturers' normal products on bearings, such as: bearing model, trademark, year code. Some fake bearings have fonts engraved, and some fonts are blurred even if they are laser-printed.

11. If conditions permit, it is best to go to the bearing manufacturer or brand distributor for personal inspection.
